About me

I have been working with adults, couples, families and children in various mental health settings for the past thirty years. In addition to my private practice office in Fremont, these settings have included private, not-for-profit mental health agencies, a psychiatric hospital, an out-patient hospital clinic setting and residential treatment centers for children and adolescents.

In my private practice I focus on helping individuals and couples with issues surrounding depression, anxiety, anger, recovery from various types of addictive behaviors, childhood trauma, difficulties with emotional intimacy, lack of creativity in one’s life, grief, somatic issues and other problems.

In order to provide you with the best psychotherapy possible and to keep me fully engaged in my work I participate in various post-graduate trainings. These include workshops, weekly seminars, week-long trainings and ongoing peer consultation and supervision.

I received my undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Washington. I received my Masters in Social Work also from the University of Washington in 1983. I am also a member of several professional organizations: National Association of Social Workers, Northwest Alliance for Psychoanalytic Study, Washington State Society for Clinical Social Workers.
